The NATA Campus Impact Initiative officially commenced with its first university screening at the University of Lagos, bringing together more than 400 students, lecturers and guests for an evening of film, education and meaningful conversation.

Following the screening of NOT ADDRESSING THIS ANYMORE (NATA), filmmaker Huzzain Bello engaged students in an interactive discussion on the power of documentary storytelling to challenge stigma and inspire social change. The conversation continued with Mrs. Umo Akinselure, Fertility Counsellor at Bridge Clinic, who addressed questions on infertility, reproductive health and the importance of early awareness among young people.

The event was graced by Prof. Sunday Oloruntola, Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, whose closing remarks encouraged students to continue the conversations beyond the auditorium. In a remarkable show of support, he tasked students with submitting a written reflection on the documentary as part of their Continuous Assessment, recognising the film's educational value.

The screening was held with the support of Bridge Clinic and Deen Consult Services, while the initiative also received the endorsement and oversight of Dr. Shaibu Husseini, Director-General of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).

As the first stop of the NATA Campus Impact Initiative, the University of Lagos screening marked the beginning of a nationwide effort to engage university communities through documentary storytelling, expert dialogue and public health education, fostering informed conversations around infertility and reproductive health before stigma takes hold.
